No Child Left Behind's Party in the Park | Cheltenham, Cheltenham
No Child Left Behind’s Party in the Park event will take place on Wednesday 5 August 2026; which will be in place of National Play Day and feature a diverse range of children’s activities and entertainment.  The event will begin with a quiet hour from 10am, offering a calm start for those who would benefit from a quieter environment, with suitable activities available during this time. The full programme of free activities will run from 11am-4pm for everyone to enjoy, led by local organisations, with live music, dance and theatre performances from children and young people continuing until 5pm. There will be four zones across the park on both sides of Evesham Road from the Pump Room to the Prince of Wales Stadium, with different activities in each area: The festival field, at Agg Gardners’ recreation ground, hosted by Cheltenham Borough Council, will feature inflatables, circus skills tent, therapy dogs and a family rave. The Move More arena, at Prince of Wales Stadium, hosted by Move More, will offer a climbing wall, Mr Mulligans crazy golf, a range of sporting activities and a mini-Olympics. Urban playground, at the tennis courts and skatepark, hosted by The Children’s Society, will include skateboarding and demos by Friends of Montpellier Skatepark, archery, The Music Works bus and a rodeo inflatable surfboard. The NCLB lawn and advice village, hosted by Cheltenham Borough Council, will feature a variety of family activities such as art and drama, the family-friendly advice village and host a talent show in partnership with KAM Performing Arts and Gloucestershire Libraries.  The NCLB lawn will also be the home of the NCLB main stage, outside Pittville Pump Room. The stage will be hosted by entertainers Kishi and Maria Allebone, and Camilla Lewington, and will showcase a range of music, dance and drama performances.     Visit the No Child Left Behind website and social media channels where full details will be shared. Over the summer a host of fun events and activities aimed at giving children and young people the space, time and freedom to play,will return to Cheltenham as part of NCLB's Summer of Play. In the past, over 20 local organisations have come together to offer provision to children throughout the summer. Some of the highlights have included animal experience days at Cheltenham Animal Shelter, football camps with Cheltenham Town FC and a variety of trips to Sandford Parks Lido, Laser Tag and Go Ape.
